FROM THE WEST: Exit I-64 at the St.Albans exit, turn right on to Rt. 35. At junction with US RT.60 turn left. Travel east on US Rt.60 through 5 stop lights, turn right under the under pass at the 6th stop light (at the Wendy's). Go about half a mile the school is on the right.

FROM THE NORTH OR EAST: EXIT I-64 the MacCorkle Ave. exit (US Rt. 60) and turn left. Travel west about 6-8 miles turn left at the stop light by the Wendy's. Go under the under past about half a mile the school is on the right.

McKinley Middle School won the Kanawha Junior School Championship 8 straight years (94-95-96-97-98-99-00-01). The first 7 championships were under the direction of Rick Comer. The last championship was won by Walt Hillenbrand. McKinley has won the over all championship and junior high division at the WSAZ tournament.
