Edison Junior High won its seventh straight Wood County Junior High Championship on the strength of ten champions and two runners-up. Edison's 110-pounder John Duncan was named Most Valuable Wrestler. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the absence of top-seeded Erica Dye of Wirt County (fresh off a win at the WSAZ Invitational), who was too ill to wrestle.
