I want to tell all folks involved in running AAA region 4 at Parkersburg South a job well done.
1. There were bleachers designated and flagged for each team to sit in.
2. There was an obvious warm up mat/area for the wrestlers to use.
3. The concession stand was set up in an area away from the restrooms and gym doors, thus no congestion.
4. Seating was adequate.
5. Parking was adequate.
6. The Principal, Vice Principals, ADs were present and in full force.
7. A police officer was present.
8. No delays.
9. The refs were on their game.
10. There was NOT a constant flow of people, wrestlers and unattended children running around.
On a separate note, the atmosphere was unlike anything I had ever experienced before at any wrestling tournament. There was a quiet, but intense feeling in the gym. I never saw anybody, a wrestler, a fan, a ref or a coach joking around or laughing. I attribute this to the high level of competition jammed packed into a regional tournament. The opening round matches were the equivalent to state tournament matches on Fridays.

Intense atmosphere; lot of good matches, I'm not sure how many OT matches there but seemed like a lot of 1-2 point decisions. The only issue I had arena was warm but unusual warm temps outside too.

The gym was cool early on. My friend's wife even covered up due to being cold. As the day went on, it did get warm. I figure as people's blood pressure went up, so did the body heat.

I snared a BBQ sandwich from the hospitality room and it was made by South77. I guess South had a good home ec teacher back in those days.
