Bored and Delusional! Lol!
I am not a South fan and would rather see someone else win.
But facts are facts, South will squeeze it out!

Re: AAA Predictions
Should be a very tight tournament. Coach Oldham always said the tournament was won during the consi rounds. South with 13 in the tournament definitely helps. It will be interesting to see. Some very good teams.

So, even though University beat Park by 46 in the regional … U predict Park to win the state tourney ???
Re: AAA Predictions
We'll have to see what "upsets" occur that changes expectations. But I see it as a different 2 team race and with both teams performing about as expected (and without trying to guess what bonus points will be scored) I come up with only a single point seperating #1 and #2.

132 finals

The smart money is probably on this, but Lowe surprised everybody at last years state tournament. Can he do it again? However, the brackets may not be as favorable this year.

Re: AAA Predictions
Looks about right in finals and nothing against Lowe, cause he is pretty good but if you look at backets he may have a hard time. Sometimes winning a region is not best!

Re: AAA Predictions
Well as usual everyone hates Parkersburg South, and seems even with WVSSAC ridiculous Regional alignment moving south into Huntingtons region, this alignment make zero geographical since, but it makes the WP and University still believe they would stop South from taking an entire team almost to State as they did have in every regional alignment since I’ve been following. I graduated in 86, been following since south became a power house. Starting in the 70s with Oak Glen and South rivalry.
As for predicting the finals, I see South repeating as large school champions due to their depth of roster and their consistent in seeking better opponents, participate in IronMan, Powerade, OVAC, Winners Choice, WSAZ. That schedule is what continually brings south on top year after year. Cream rises to the top.
I would like to see more of the eastern panhandle schools wrestling or just follow the stats but for some reason I can’t seem to find much content on the web, besides what trickles to WVMat.
I wish all competitors and their family’s safe travels, plus best of luck at the State tournament. Go South

Re: AAA Predictions
Did the math and I hit on 78% of place winners (top 6 who would place, not necessarily where they’d place) and 75% of finalists. Best classes - 132 I hit every placer where they finished and only missed on 2 matches overall in the bracket (both first round consolations). 165 hit all except had Maynard and Wallace swapped. Yes, I’m a wrestling nerd.
