OVAC Results - Saturday Evening Finals
Re: OVAC Results - Saturday Evening Finals
Oak Glen and Indian Creek tied and were actually named co-champions in AAAA.
Re: OVAC Results - Saturday Evening Finals
In an unprecedented move the AAAAA Scores have been adjusted after the closing ceremonies.
42 team points have been deducted from the Parkersburg South team score
13.5 team points have been deducted from the University team score.
Wheeling Park has been declared the AAAAA and overall champion with a score of 201.5 points
South & University are now runners up in AAAAA and tied for overall runners up with Barnsville.
An anonymous source stated that although the wrestling world hasn't seen a tournament score change after wrestling was over and people have gone home, he was inspired by the overnight change in election results in November 2020. He deducted team points for unsportsmanlike conduct and reasoned the South and University wrestlers were probably listening to music with swear words while driving home and while he himself did not hear it, he knew someone might. The number of points deducted was purely coincidental.
He emphasized that he is not attempting to draw attention to himself, nor penalize any particular team, he is simply trying to make this another teachable moment. After all, it is for the kids.
