Huntington Middle School Eagle Classic

Date: December 8-9, 2017 Seeding Meeting will be on that Tuesday December 5 at the middle school. We will start the meeting at 6:30.
Place: Huntington High School (We will run on 5-6 mats depending on number of entrants.)
Weigh-Ins: Friday 3:30-5:30 Start Wrestling around 6:15 Saturday Morning wrestling will start at either 9:30 or 10 depending on teams traveling.
We will place out 8 and give awards to places 1-6. We are going to try to get everyone 7 to 9 matches over the weekend.

Last year, immediately after the final match on Saturday it was announced that the award presentation would commence only after the mats were put up and the gym was cleaned of trash. Also, an announcement was made at the same time asking for those in attendance to help with the cleanup!
I and many others sincerely hope that this is not the case this year.

Big thanks to all who came this weekend. Big thanks to my assistant Sam St. Clair and family, you and your family’s generosity is unparalleled. To all the wrestlers and coaches thank you for being so kind to help and keeping everything above board. To the table workers, Lisa Nida, and Robert St. Clair thanks for keeping everything going smoothly. To the officials you all did great. To the HMS parents who helped with the behind the scenes thank you all for your support. John Dempsey thanks so much for facilitating everything and teaching me how to run a great tournament. Lastly thank you to Coach Bill and Diane Archer for allowing us to use your clocks and everything else. Everyone’s generosity of money and time are amazing. You all make this sport the greatest.
