Dump it and Seed the Wrestlers who qualify for State. Too many times we see the top two in a weight class meet early in the bracket.
Re: The Pill
The pill takes the politics out; but many times a 3rd place finisher probably should have been 2nd place finisher.
Seeding with two regionals North and South may have same situation but it could make brackets easier to figure, North Champ vs South 8th placer; South champ vs North 8 placer and so on. 2 vs 7; 3 vs 6; 4 vs 5.
or with this format of regions you could use rankings as well.
Not sure how three regionals would work but probably pill would be best in that system as well.

Re: The Pill
Anyone who is against people referencing the rankings, number of ranked wrestlers etc, in each region...should certainly be against seeding the state tournament. Rankings and seeds would be based on the same thing. So, just wrestle and win your matches and stop complaining, right?

Re: The Pill
I think the rankings are only as good as the time/effort put into them.
We have people who spend a lot of time doing research and others who may not have the time just go with whatever everyone else is saying.
I have always wondered why if we have 29 AAA schools. Why do we only get 10 Votes listed on the team Ranking page. Are only 10 Coaches doing the voting for Team and individual rankings?

Regardless of the reason, it means 10 out of 29 coaches take the time to do it. The other 19 are obviously too busy. I figure the majority of the coaches who have the top ten ranked teams are the voters.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

Yep. If you are ranked in the top 5 to 6, then you are doing well and winning most of your matches. Rankings are like a forecast, but some people choose to get stuck in the snow or rained on. Rankings are like a budget, but some people are broke before the month is over. Rankings are like a compass, but some people choose to stay lost all the time. Rankings are most like a churn................the cream always rises to the top. Bwahahahahaahahahahaaaaaaaaa

Actually I believe the 10 AAA coaches who vote are comprised of the So.. , err I mean the Patriot coaching staff. At least that's what I always presumed occurred, but I could be mistaken.
Re: The Pill
I know it may not be appropriate but the Patriots just scored an 8 point touchdown.
Re: The Pill
I personally don't like the pill, but what happen to the old saying this is how it's been for years. (Every-time Region alignment gets talked about).
