This year we will be holding the annual JCI Wrestling Tournament at the West Virginia National Guard Armory in Millwood, WV; just a few miles outside of Ravenswood. The date of the tournament will be Saturday December 17, 2016 as numerous tournaments have moved to the 1st weekend in January.
Teams that participated last year included: Eastern Local Ohio, Herbert Hoover, Huntington High Ohio, Liberty Raleigh, Lincoln Co., Mingo Central, Ravenswood, Ritchie Co., Roane Co., and Wirt Co.

So far for the 2016 JCI Wrestling tournament we have the following teams:

With the USW local 5668 out of Ravenswood helping to Sponsor the JCI wrestling tournament . we have reduced the fee for the event to $100 per team for the entry fee.

This is shaping up to be a good tournament. However, it might be time to change its name.

With only two high schools in Jackson county, only one is participating.

Is there a website for this event?

Not sure what happened to the JCI. Tournament was historically one of the best AA/A tournaments in the state with a few AAA teams mixed in. It was always the first weekend in January and rotated between Ripley and Ravenswood. This went on for at least 30 years. Past participants included Ripley, Ravenswood, Pt Pleasant, Independence, Wirt, Spencer/Roane, Williamstown, St. Mary's, Liberty Raleigh, Sissonville...... And several others including a few Ohio schools. Would love to see this type of tournament rekindle. The new armory is one of the nicest venues in the state to hold a wrestling tournament.

152 finals S Moore Calhoun beat H Moore Wirt 2-1

Wow you never know who will match up from year to year. Seth Moore at 170 last year against Hunter Moore who was 120 last year. Last year they were seperated by 50 pounds and this year they had what sounds like a great match at 152.

Indy jv pretty impressive, finishing ahead of two ranked teams.
