Here is a breakdown of Class A/AA Region I wrestling next season with how the teams fared at the most recent state tournament and what they each return. Kids will have to step it up to get out of this region and make it to states next year.

A/AA Region 3 will be very competitive in 2016-2017 as well.
This year there were 31 state tournament place finishers and 74 state qualifiers from the teams in A/AA region 3 next year after you add Herbert Hoover, Shady Spring, and Oak Hill to the totals.
18 of these state tournament place finishers will return including 4 champions and 3 runners up and 54 of the qualifiers will return.
