Using the AAA Individual rankings from Friday 1/24 and giving placement points according to those rankings, one gets the following team point results:
1) University = 112 points
2) Woodrow Wilson = 102 points
3) PHS = 76 points
4) Washington = 72 points
5) South = 55 points
6) Wheeling Park = 51 points
7) Martinsburg = 45 points
8) Cabell Midland = 42 points
9) Fairmont Senior = 38 points
10) Huntington = 34 points
11) George Washington = 23 points
12) John Marshall = 17 points
Not trying to make any particular point, just an observation. Although the above is considering tournament scoring and placement, I believe the above also puts the top 4 dual teams from each region up at the top also.

Using the latest AAA individual rankings from 2/14/25 and now that the dual season is officially over and those place winners have been decided, here is what those individual rankings would predict for the state tournament race:

1) University = 121 points
2) PHS = 89 points
3) Woodrow Wilson = 83 points
4) Washington = 76 points
5) Wheeling Park = 48 points
6) Fairmont Senior = 45 points

8) Huntington = 33 points
9) Cabell Midland = 32 points
