Points were assigned using:

Champion = 16
Runner Up = 12
3rd = 9
4th = 7
5th = 5
6th = 3
Non-placing qualifier = 0

In addition, the non-placing qualifiers are listed as following:
Q2 = won two matches (made it to the blood round)
Q1 = won one state tournament match
Q = won zero matches

The weight classes were not listed in order to save time. Furthermore, last season's weight class doesn't indicate where the given wrestler could be in this season.

Opinions vary, but Independence has a 16 point wild card whereas Price is the uncrowned returning state champion. These 16 points would move Independence into second place.

Based on the preseason team rankings that leap frogged Independence over Fairmont Senior and Berkeley Springs into second place.....................I guess many thought/think that Price would have won a state title last season. Those "potential" returning 16 points will help. I predict there will be many bonus points added too.

Cameron has picked up the Angel brothers from Wheeling Park. I believe one of them placed in AAA last year. Cameron should be a heavy favorite to win class A
