2 years in a row is a bit much
Re: Now what???
It absolutely is a bit too much. Contact your legislators and have them to make it right.

Mmmm, I think this took place last year, and the tournament, went on.
Re: Now what???
Under the provisions of the proposed bill if a strike happens in the future everything stops including state championships.

Not throwing stones but looking for clarification, if there was a bill passed and put into action after last years strike that stated a complete stoppage of school and after school activities then yes this would be a hurdle to cross but if it's a proposed bill then it hasn't taken action and not voted into law or as a placed as a mandate...

Take this for what it’s worth - just what I saw posted...
PER Hoppy Kercheval tweet: The WVSSAC says its up to individual counties to play regular season sporting events during strike. However, SSAC says state tournament events will continue as scheduled

After all is said and done, all was said and done!
I have retired but not expired!

Re: Now what???
Not quite...there is a sneaky little trick going on. Del Steele (R-Raleigh) gave a fiery speech against a yes vote to kill the bill. Then, when it came time to vote, Del Steele voted yes. Reason for this action is because only those who voted to kill the bill can call for a vote to reconsider. So, watch for an attempt this evening at 6pm to call for a vote to reconsider.
