AAA 182 regional brackets seed as follows:
Region 1
1 Nixon 36 – 7
2 Wallace 36 – 7
3 Taylor 30 – 9
4 Carnes 19 – 5
5 Moore 21 – 9
Region 2
1 Marandola 31 – 10
2 Crutchley 29 – 10
3 Herndon 20 – 9
4 Straight 39 – 15
5 Lewis 29 – 21
Region 3
1 Edge 41 – 7
2 Roberts 4 – 11
3 Carter 15 – 17
4 Amburgey 4 – 14
5 No Entry
Region 4
1 Edwards 29 - 9
2 Giompalo 28 - 3
3 Misner 25 – 12
4 Ramey 13 – 17
5 Booth 6 – 3
If the wrestlers place in the region in the order of their seed, Pill 3 would look like this:
Top Half of the Bracket:
Nixon vs Straight
Roberts vs Misner
Marandola vs Carnes
Giompalo vs Carter
Bottom Half of the Bracket:
Edge vs Ramey
Wallace vs Herndon
Edwards vs Amburgey
Crutchley vs Taylor
Pill 3 is not near as bad as Pill 1. At least Pill 3 doesn’t have any ranked wrestlers meeting on Thursday night.

So to play devils advocate here. The past few weeks you have been talking about how rankings are important. Not pro pill or con pill but that rankings are important for splitting 1 and 2.
Based on the coaches poll and based on splitting 1 and 2 if all the regions finished as seeded. And if pill 2 was drawn they would redraw for that weight class. Pill 2 keeps Nixon and Edwards on the same side and they would have to redraw and 50/50 chance of 1 getting drawn then.
My point, If there is one, is that there is going to be a flaw in every system. Human bias, seeding criteria that makes you scratch your head, a pill that puts way more weight on one side of the bracket. Or splitting 1 and 2 that has a 33% chance of doing the same. I’m not saying that nothing should be done, just saying the answer isn’t always a clear cut as we think.
I can also say, the likelihood of that weight wrestling the chalk is VERY slim. They have been beating each other up all year. So maybe not the best example.
But the real question is… do you get paid per thread? 3 threads for 1 topic. Come on!
Hope everyone wrestled great and all stay healthy. Good luck, wrestlers!

Anytime you have 3 (or even 4) top tier wrestlers in a region you're asking for potential bracket chaos on the first night. That being said, I'm not sure I've seen someone complain about seeding and the pill in the same day before lol.

1. Nixon is only ranked #2 in the Coaches' Poll because he beat Edwards. Since that time, Edwards outplaced Nixon at the Brooke Classic. Here is a flaw in the rankings that would need to be figured out. Despite being behind in going public, Bear Tracks has had Giompalo #2 ever since he lost in the final seconds to Edwards. Note when Edwards went to 195, it completely changed the ranking logic.
2. My three threads were to clearly explain the three different pills.
3. My payment structure is between me and the organization that writes my checks.
4. As for people hiding behind leaving everything the same because there isn't a clear cut answer, I am not one of those kind of people. "Perfect" should never be the enemy of "better".
5. My example was outlined as the wrestlers wrestling to their seed just to keep the waters from getting muddied more than they are. Personally, I do not think all regions will result as they are seeded. In my mind, I have who I think the best is. We shall see.
6. Why don't you post more?
