AAA Duels Champions

Postby BsWrestler72 » Sun Feb 06, 2022 10:04 am

Congratulations to Park South on winning State duels. However before we automatically say South is best team in the state take a look at the individual matches and see who did not wrestle from both Spring Mills and University. Just sayin!

Sorry their win hurt your feelings! There were several from Unv that chose to not go out and wrestle finals round, but wrestled the round before, hmm that’s odd!
Regardless, it shall be interesting come March!
Congrats South on winning the DUALS

Why would individual wrestlers for University not wrestle South? Am I just confused, as usual…?

You mean like Wheeling Park, who obviously feel they deserved to be there instead of University in the first place since University lost to them and then only beat Park because Park was short handed. Sound familiar. As with all sporting events, the contest is held at the scheduled time and each team fields their best team and the results speak for themselves. Thus PHS was the 2020 AAA Dual Championship team. As for the 2022 AAA State Dual championship on the day it was scheduled apparently University did not have a wrestling team to defeat South and that's what the title infers. Also, the matches have to be wrestled, not guessed who would have won. The missing person for Spring Mills was not likely to alter that final outcome, and one cannot simply say that past match results are what is going to happen the next time. Just take a look at the 113 pound results. If so the University's 220 who most recently was finally bested by South's backup at 195 could never be expected to defeat South's starter at 195, although he did. Just sayin!

Wrestling is a war of attrition. As attrition kicks in, teams lose ground.

That is why wrestling is an individual sport first.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!
