A state championship is an impressive feat alone, but pinning your way through the entirety of it is something. Would of loved to see him scarp in Wv! I bet that mix up the classes a bit.

Congratulations to former West Virginia wrestler, Chip Sturek. He won the 170lbs class 5A state title in Virginia. Glad to see he continued his wrestling career.

I agree with either Lucas Simpkins or Cam Moore. Ritchie has a 1 loss record to an out if state opponent, but Hunter Jones beat that common opponent. So I don't think Ritchie is in the running. Dalton Michael is a 3 time finalist with an impressive weight tbis season. He's also in the mix

Nothing is impossible at a tournament feel of surprises. I think we'll see a lot of wrestlers show out when the lights are on. I see some top guys handling business and some top guys getting surprised. So my prediction....PAIN.

I don't see starkey or Evans over more, not do I see Morgan over Jones. But, I suppose Anthony is possible.

Wrestlers are taught to score points. In order to score points, both wrestlers have to be engaged in the match. Whether someone is winning or losing, stalling should be called. It keeps matches exciting and worth watching.

Luke Martin is tough this year. Really nice on the feet, solid top game. I don't think anyone in 113 is on his level. Bertrand is solid on his feet, but just doesn't take Martin Down. Sharp is tough, but again doesn't score on Martin.

In my opinion, jones is over rated. Solid wrestler, but just doesn't have what it takes to seal the deal. Johnson from Phs looks good. He should win at either 160 or 170. The Morgan brothers are both pretty decent, but I don't see them contending for a title.
