When was WVU ever known for their wrestling program?
What would draw "the blue" chip wrestler to go to WVU?
There is a lot of talk about the in state guys Flynn didn't get, would any of those improved the teams results this year?

Re: IRONMAN WEEKEND
Was a bit nervous for Raike in that semi final match. My opinion he was clearly spiked in a mat return , the way his neck rolled is never fun to see. Then he get hit with an illegal slam, I didn’t think it should have been called .That cost him the match. Glad he didn’t get injured! Congrats on comi...

Re: Waynesburg HS wrestlers commit to Ohio State and Va Tech
I know the rules for RTC have changed. They used to take top 4 placement in your state in folkstyle, so odds are some of the wrestlers may be eligible under the Grandfathered clause" if they were a member of an RTC before. Also the WV freestyle state tournament never has a large turnout, so I w...

Re: WVU goes 4-0 in NCAA round one
Your lack of understanding how hard to be a top 5 team is almost as amazing as it is to be a top 5 team. PS keep that negative thought, you won’t get the PIAA kids From 2010 to present: PSU, Iowa and Cornell are the ONLY teams to finish in the top 10 EVERY year(I am confident Cornell would have if I...

Boalsburg Pa is about 250 miles from WVU, you now have a PA state champ as a recruit. More will be coming!!
Flynn, didn’t build The BORO in 3 years either, give him time, they will come. Not to mention, you have serious studs coming in from inside your own state!!

Re: Another year of no WVU All Americans
Caleb Dowling from Saint Joseph's Catholic academy in PA, has just committed to WVU.
He is a 3x PA state placer entering his Senior year 4th 2nd and 3rd. I expect him to be 149/157 in College. ( 3x saz's champ)
I predict 3-4x AA.

Re: Tim Flynn new WVU coach-- fantastic hire
From what I hear , Port and Moore are coming along . I have to say , I’m suppressed there isn’t more Chatter on this. Tim Flynn might be the best thing to ever hit WVU. His draw from the sureounding states is going to be huge. Not to mention his ability to take the next level down athletes and make ...

AA-61
I agree, Flynn should be the top choice.
A Maryland native, wrestled at Penn State in the late ‘80’s. Has been making AA’s with little money for scholarships. Not to mention his connection with wrestlers from Pa, Ohio and NJ
And he won’t overlook WV!

Bearhugger,
You are correct on your numbers, we brought 9 Varsity and 2 JV this year.
KDunbar.
SJA is a private Catholic school in Boalsburg PA. We have kids on the team from 4 or 5 local schools.

Re: Last Man Standing
The main reason I encouraged our Head Coach to take our team from PA to WSAZ's last year, was because it is an "open "tournament. its a small school with a brand new program. For the years I lived in WV, this tournament, as well as winners choice drew all the top teams, regardless of A/AA-...

This is how PA seeds tournaments, its not that hard if you keep track of your athletes all season long.

Re: Predictions For Region 4 AAA Tournament
I get a kick out of anyone who predicts a loss for Hinzman from South. He has been challengened as much as any other wrestler from souths incredible schedule. Has any other 160# faced half the challenge he or his team has? I think not. Place your bets agiainst him, this “Ohl” coach knows who will win.

Re: WSAZ Predictions
Looks like Hinzman’s prediction of ST Joes was accurate , and Amonn Ohl’s #1 seed at 106 was correct. Great to catch up with old friends this weekend!
