Re: Parkersburg Jr States - March 5-6
You are also in a youth forum. Lol. I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. It's not like the high school kids are wrestling so who cares. And no one is talking about changing teams. It's about where the best teams will be in YOUTH. Your point is invalid.

Re: Results for Clash, Preston, & Moorefield
From what I understand they have the points but having a technical issue on the website part. They have all the points is what I am gathering. If there is an issue at regions. You know what tournaments you been to let the coach know, but from what I have gathered just a glitch that is getting fixed.

Re: WVYWA Regionals
I am a little confused on what you are asking. If you place forth at regionals. Then you will be against a kid that places first at a region depending on the pill draw. Now if I am correct the seeds will go by points for the regions, but then can argue head to head and other things to help a better ...

Re: WVYWA Regionals
Wrestle has to make base weight with no allowance before regions so let's say 8u 50 has to be made not 51 or 52 50 or lower. They do offer after Jan a one pound allowance but they will have it written down who made what at the regions at what weight. So even if wrestler went to qualifiers but weighe...

Re: WVYWA Regionals
My 2 cents is that in order to establish WVYWA as the go to states you won't be able to have it on a different date. Yes wood county region is different because I don't think anyone would come because the Jr states pays them and only them. If it's on two different dates this early in the game it's n...

Re: Question about WVYWA qualifier
You can still get points even if it is not labeled as a qualifier. If a team is commited, you can still receive points just not as many as a qualifier.

Re: West Virginia Jr. States
Which leagues have chosen not to join the new state tourney? And, if my child is in one of those leagues, then how can he participate in the new tourney? I am certainly no expert, but I think all you need to do is attend a qualifier at the weight you want your son to wrestle at states. But when I t...

Re: New WV Youth Wrestling Association
My understanding. Is whatever he wrestles at the qualifying tournament is the weight for states. If he goes to another qualifying tournament at a lower weight then you established a lower weight and can wrestle that weight at states. So tournament one qualifier he wrestles 55. That's his weight for ...

Re: New WV Youth Wrestling Association
If I'm not mistaken, it's the more points the better seed. Also head to head will go into account as well. Certain tournaments will be points. Sort of like Ohio.
