It helps if the best 2 wrestlers are in the same region - no matter what pill is drawn they will be on opposite sides of the bracket.
Now wihen there are several good wrestlers and they get left out of states that is a different story.

Every single A team did not attend. If Every team did attend, plus the new teams that are dropping down from AA. That tournament would be very legit. Same way if the Wvssac gave Single A a chance for their own state tournament, But that only happens in other sports. With some AA. Teams dropping down...

Consider trying - If the tournaments was split into 3 classes or even the A/AA, AA/AAA it may actually increase the participation with time. Look at another sport. Maybe track. At some point the wvssac went to 3 classes. With time the single A division has gotten really competitive. It didn't happen...

I'm talking tournaments not duals.

In my opionion wrestlers should be wrestling the weight they are going to be competing in at states ( in tournaments). In small tris, quads, the moving doesn't matter. I can't stand it when two good wrestlers are going to meet in a tournament and one moves up to avoid the other or get an easier path...

Every match wrestled should count on the record, correct?
